Jessica Castillo, MA, LPC, RPT
Hi, I’m Jessica. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist™.
I have a master’s degree in forensic psychology from the University of Denver. I started my career in community mental health where I attended a play therapy training and fell in love with the art of play. I have been a counselor since 2011. I worked with children and adolescents in the school setting from 2015-2022. I completed a play therapy certification from the University of Wyoming in 2018 and am currently on the board for the Wyoming Association for Play Therapy. I am also an Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) trained therapist. As the owner and founder of Root to Rise, I started this practice with a vision of providing a safe space for people to share, explore, heal, and grow while feeling supported and not alone.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband, Arthur, and cat, Louden Swain. We like to travel, play outside, and hang out with friends and family. I enjoy planting flowers and working out. I am also a certified yoga instructor, and I particularly enjoy paddle board and hot yoga. I am originally from the east coast, fall is my favorite season, and I love visiting the beach.
I like working with people of all ages helping them through life’s ups and downs, transitions, and change. To start the process, we’ll begin with an intake where we explore your goals and create a plan tailored to your specific needs. My passion resides in helping people have the courage to be their true selves, while fostering confidence and finding inner peace. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey.
